Pictures

My camera is full so I had to give in and upload my pictures to have them printed. Here are a few of my favorites. They are from Sept. to last week if that tells you anything.

The first - Makenna found my new red lipstick.
Second - This was taken while Hurricane Ike was blowing through. No electricity so no AC or fans. JM was cooling his chicken legs off. I plan to use this photo some day at his wedding as part of a slide show.
Third - Kenna in one of thier play hats.
4th - Makenna and her pink boots. She dressed herself to play outside.
5th- Jacob wearing Mr. "Tater" Head's glasses.
6th - Makenna and Jacob last fall in the yard.

As some of you know Jacob has developed a fascination with "POW POW" from watching Gunsmoke with PawPaw. I went in one night to make sure he had his covers on and this is what I found.

The icecream bowl doubles as a hat.

So much seems to be happening all the time…

Some of you may know that Jonathan has been a football “ref” (actually a back judge is the name of his position). I took the kids to a game a few months ago that he was working and Texas Country Reporter (
http://www.texascountryreporter.com) happened to be there. They aired the segment on Apple Springs/Hudson last weekend and the kids and I got a kick out of slow mo watching J running around in the background on some of the shots.

We are all excited about our circuit assembly this weekend. We were the host congregation for the CO and Do this week. The DO gave a really nice talk on Tuesday. He was encouraging living simple lives and having “plastic surgery” …cutting up the cards and removing them from our lives so we don’t get in over our heads etc. One of these days...

H, the babies and I are taking our first real road trip. We are heading to see my sister Linda next week. Wish we could stay through the following weekend since Travis is back from Ecuador and is giving a talk Sunday. We can’t stretch they stay that long though. Cross your fingers for us. I bought a DVD player for the car ride but I afraid of what 8 hours in the car will do to the little people. Thought I might do what Tstar said R & J did and get the kids in the car really early to try and get some miles behind us before they are even really awake.

J has the week off too and he and JM are staying home and doing boy things. I’m sure they will try to pretend that they went hunting. They really just like campfires and food cooked outside.

Other good news from this week… J is being moved back from Jasper to Diboll!! No more 120 miles a day on the truck or car. The irony of course is that he has been doing the drive every day for almost a year at 4.00 a gallon and it’s 1.89 now and he will only be driving a few miles to work – lol.

Haliegh

Haliegh a.k.a. Flomar to her friends was trying to kiss my phone... she's 15 who really knows why. Our lovely daughter is now a Sophomore in H.S., is begging me to start letting her drive (uugggh) and has developed a recent habit of tripping over her own toes when barefoot.
She spends her days pretending she is worn out from school work so that her rather demanding teacher (me) might take pity on her and not make her keep up with her chores. Ah the dreams of the young.
I will try and find a decent picture of Jon-Michael later and update you on his escapades. He is forever videoing himself and using up the memory card on the camera so I'm bound to have something he would hate for me to share.
Ciao - M

I've been reading through Tanya, G and Dr. Subs blogs and loved them. So hard to keep up with everyone and it is so nice to get to see a little piece of what is happening with them.
Thought I might be able to let everyone see little bit of what is happening here. The kids are growing so fast and I haven't been the best about sending out pictures. I will try and share few here.

After reading "The Random Meanderings of Dr. S. Sub" I now feel complete. Oh to know that I have done something so terribly wrong that little ol' me could be included in his latest nonsensical rant.

I now will take a bow and exit stage with the knowledge that I've not hit one, but several of his nerves in recent days. I wonder was it the mention of Benny Hill, Gary Glitter or the beautiful young prince William?
